Seeking Funding and Finance Coordinator

Permanent, full-time: 40 hours per week

$54,080 – $64,480 Salary Range

Desired location: Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington.

About the role:

InsideOUT Kōaro is a national youth charity seeking a Funding and Finance Coordinator for 40 hours a week to support our growing mahi. 

As InsideOUT Kōaro’s Funding and Finance Coordinator you will have responsibility for identifying and pursuing opportunities for funding for InsideOUT Kōaro and reporting back on these. You will also be responsible for setting up bills, reconciliations, invoicing, donor receipts and other financial tasks. 

The Funding and Finance Coordinator will have a broad fundraising focus with the goal of maintaining and developing revenue across; individual giving, corporate partnerships, events, community fundraising, and trusts and foundations. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on InsideOUT Kōaro’s relationships with funders: building on our current partnerships, whilst also investigating and developing new fundraising partnerships, initiatives and revenue opportunities.

You will be responsible for supporting the administration of InsideOUT Kōaro’s day-to-day finances: overseeing incoming and outgoing payments, including grants, donations, invoices, bills and reimbursements. 

Skills and experience desired:

  • Passionate about InsideOUT’s mahi and rainbow inclusion
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills, initiative and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Comfortable using technology eg. Google Docs, Xero, etc
  • Outstanding knowledge of rainbow communities and the challenges faced by sexual, sex, and gender minorities (preferred but further training can be provided)
  • Previous experience in fundraising or finance (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with youth development
