Are you a rainbow young person wanting to learn about how to navigate the workforce? Come along to these two informative sessions brought to you by InsideOUT Kōaro and the Vodafone New Zealand!

Session 1: Rainbow Experiences and Knowing Your Rights

Sunday 22nd March

A panel of rainbow people from different sectors discussing their journeys being rainbow in their work environments. We’ll also hear from Community Lawyer Kate Scarlet about your rights as an employee and advice around important work-related issues.

Session 2: Job Hunting 101

Sunday 29th March

A crash course in putting together a CV and cover letter that’ll stand out, and how to nail a job interview! You’ll also have the opportunity to get feedback on any CVs or cover letters you’ve already written, so be sure to them along! If you’re able, please bring your laptop to work on your CV and Cover Letter. There are limited PCs available for those unable to bring their own.

Both sessions will run from 1-4pm and be held at the Vodafone building, 160 Lambton Quay, Te Aro. The doors will be locked but someone will let you into the building so please arrive 10 mins early. If you are early/late and need to get in, please contact 0224725613

These sessions are for rainbow rangatahi, meaning that we will be prioritising those between 14 and 26 years of age. If you are not in this age group or are not a rainbow person you will still have the opportunity to engage with parts of these sessions via the livestream we will be running on InsideOUT’s Facebook page!

Registrations will close on Monday March 16th, and you will receive an email by Wednesday March 18th as to whether you have a place.
