Identify Survey is the first in-depth survey designed to identify what it is like to be young and rainbow (LGBTQIA+, takatāpui, MVPAFF) or a rainbow ally/friend in Aotearoa New Zealand today. Created by rainbow researchers in partnership with rainbow young people and adults, as well as teachers, lecturers, youth workers and health professionals, this study is by us and for us. We want to know what is going well and what needs to change for rainbow young people.
The experiences of rainbow young people in education, employment and community are incredibly diverse. We also know that they differ in some significant ways from their straight and cisgender peers as well as from rainbow adults. This is an incredible opportunity for you to share your experiences, both good and bad, and make your voice heard.
Identify Survey is open to all rainbow young people and their friends and allies aged 14-26 years (inclusive) living in Aotearoa New Zealand.
InsideOUT encourages everyone who is eligible to consider taking this survey by following the link to the Identify website below. There you can find more information about the survey, the questions it will ask, and why it is important.
The more people who participate, the better we’ll be able to understand the needs of rainbow communities and advocate for positive change in Aotearoa.
Identify Survey closes August 31, 2021.
