You will be responsible for managing and developing InsideOUT’s relationships with schools and school groups in Bay of Plenty/Te Moana-a-Toi. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a regional network for schools with or wanting to start rainbow diversity groups/queer-straight alliances, known as Q’D UP Bay of Plenty/Te Moana-a-Toi.
This will include planning and facilitating monthly meet-ups alongside volunteers and providing support to schools and school groups through resources, and advice over phone, e-mail, and in-person as required. You will be expected to record details of your work as you go, and provide quarterly reports to the Managing Director on the progress of the project.
InsideOUT is a growing organisation that works to support youth, whānau, schools, community groups, youth services, government agencies and other relevant organisations to provide safer schools and communities for rainbow young people. A restricted or full drivers license and own vehicle is required for this position as the role will require travel within the Bay of Plenty/Te Moana-a-Toi region. You must be comfortable working independently, however there will be frequent contact available with our Managing Director and our team of Schools Coordinators based around Aotearoa.
